Welcome to GamerGlitch

Welcome to GamerGlitch, a growing resource for Glitching and Game Montages (Gametages). Use the navigation links above to access seperate sections of the site. Site news, additons, and updates may be found in my Blog.

History of GamerGlitch

GamerGlitch was created as one of the first glitching archives. In the beginning, the site was simple, quick, and resourceful. However, I wanted the site to be better, I became overzealous. I tried to switch the host from 50webs, to Trap17 to add further content to the site (PHPBB Forum, etc...). Trap 17 required posting to keep the service active, I could not keep up with this. THe site soon fell from 100% reliability to complete downtime. It would take days to weeks befroe I could get the site back up. The site kept going down because of my lack oto post articles on Trap17, and the Forum had become out of control with Spam, I became distraught. With this tension and no time to keep the site alive I gave up on the site. However, I decided since the site had prospered in its original form, I would recreate that. I would use my original host, 50webs, the way I had when the site had greatness. Along with recreating the simple design of GamerGlitch, I have decided to add other features, and give the site more content. I have decided to add not only the original Glitching Archive (with new glitches coming, but also a Gametage Archive (Gaming Montages and videos), and my own Blog. Before recreating this site I tried tro create a site with all three of these optiong using Blogger.com, Haloverated.com but it was unsuccessful.

About the Site

Welcome to GamerGlitch, located at http://gamerglitch.com/. A new realm has come about in the world of console and PC oriented gaming, atleast new too many. Glitching (A minor malfunction, mishap, or technical problem), or an exploit, allows people to do actions inside the game which are not purposely put it the game by a creator. Glitches have been around since the dawn of gaming, however, untill recently it hasn't been such an issue, or caused such controversies. Since Microsoft's newest console, the Xbox 360, has been released the popularity of glitching has tremendously increased. Now glitching is well known by most Xbox 360 users, some tolerate, some don't and some glitch as a hobby. Many people enjoy glitching to such an extent that Glitching Clans have been created. With some games, such as Gears of War, or GOW, there are more than one clan fighting to discover glitching. This competition has enabled many glitches to be found throughout GOW, and becasue of all these discoveries Gears of War has become one of the most buggy, exploited game to date. Glitching may be fun to a wide variety, or audience of people, however, to some it is no fun at all. This is because many glitches can determine wether you win or losse a game, sot of, actually, just like cheating. For this reason glitching should only be performed in while your in a match with people that are okay with you glitching. In Xbox live do not glitch in ranked matches (only in player matches), it is a form of cheating. Although Xbox does not ban too many people, there is always the risk, don't take it.

Anyway's becasue of the recent occuring of all this glitching, I stepped forward to create this site, GamerGlitch, to be used as a premier site for Glitching information, providing tutorials and videos for how to perform glitches found in popular console and PC titles.

This site was orignally created Saturday May 5, 2007, however it was revived December 13, 2007.

If you notice any problems (Broken links, etc...) with the site contact me at GamerGlitch@mail.com
