*Notes Before You Start:

1) If you have already Downloaded the Gears of War 3 Beta, Delete It.
2) You Will Need a USB Drive For this.
3) You will Need the Gears of war 3 Beta File and  USBXTAFGUI 44 (Download Here, or the Link Above)

PART 1) Set Up Your USB

*Note: If You already Have a USB Drive with Your Gamer Profile You may Skip Part 1.

1) Insert a USB into Your Xbox. Make sure this USB is Empty, if it has files move them elsewhere because the following steps will wipe all the Content off of the USB.

2) In the Dashboard Navigate to the “Memory Settings”. In order to do this go to “MY Xbox” Row and scroll all the Way Right to System Settings, Enter System Settings and Go to “Memory”

3) Now that You are in Memory Settings Select Your USB Device and Select “Configure Now”

4) Once Your USB Device is Configured you are Going to Move Your Profile to it. In order to do this Return to the “Memory” Settings. Select the Drive where your Profile is Stored (Probably your Hard Drive). Select “Gamer Profiles” and then Select Your Profile. Now Select “Move” and Move Your Profile to the USB You just Set Up.

Now Your USB Drive is Set up, You may Continue to Part 2…

Part 2: Putting the Gears of War 3 Beta on to Your USB

1) Plug Your USB into Your PC

2) Unzip the Files You Downloaded to Your PC (Download Link is Above if You Don’t Have the Files Yet)

The Zip Contains:
USBXTAFGUI_v44.exe
and the The folder  ”00080000″ which contains the Gears of War 3 Beta File (The File is Called: CBE63F35E657ECE72EDF577353571CB6BBBD95874D)

3) Open USB Xtaf GUI (USBXTAFGUI_v44.exe)

4) Inside USB Xtaf GUI Click File “Open First USB Drive”

5) Now Create a folder Inside “Content” (Data Partition -> Content) named “0000000000000000″ (16 Zeros) (Skip this Step if You already Have this Folder).

6) Now inside the Folder you Just Created (“0000000000000000″), Create a Folder called “4D5389B9″.

7) Now inside the Folder “4D5389B9″ (The Folder You Just Created), Create Another Folder Called “00080000″ (3 Zero’s an 8 and then 4 Zero’s)

Now Inject the File “CBE63F35E657ECE72EDF577353571CB6BBBD95874D” (This is One of the Files from the Zip You Downloaded, it is inside the Folder 00080000) into the Folder You Just Created (“00080000″).

9) In Xtaf GUI 44 to File “Close Current Drive”. Once the Drive has finished closing you may Exit Usb Xtaf Gui 44. Now you may Remove the USB from your PC.

10) Plug Your USB into Your Xbox

11) Go To Your Game Library (To the right in the “My Xbox Row”)

12) You will see the Gears or War 3 Beta in Your Game Library. Select the Demo and the game Will Begin to Load. An Update Will Appear. Download this Update. When the Download Finishes you are Good to Go… Now Play Some Gears of War 3!

*Note: If Your Having trouble and the Game Freezes for Some Reason then try moving the Gears Beta File from Your USB to the Hard Drive and that should work. You can Move All the files on Your USB (Gamer Profile and Gears 3 Beta) to Your Hard Drive at this Point if You Wish to Do So.

This Method also allows you to play either Solo, Split-Screen, Private Or Online With All 5 DLC Maps + “Kino Der Toten” – “FIVE” & Dead Ops Arcade.
I Believe If you’ve previously got the WAW Maps via this Method you can add to it.

It’s Really Simple & Rather Fast, Just 7 Easy Steps

So Lets Get Started Then Shall We?

Step 1: Download The Maps/Files (Link Below)

Step 2: Create A Xbox 360 Capable Flash Drive (Tutorial Link Below)

Step 3: Plug Flash Drive Into Your Computer Of Choice

Step 4: Install “USB Xtaf XPLORER V17″ )Link Below)

Step 5: Open “Xtaf” It Will Ask You if You Want To Download A New Version (Click Yes, You Now Have V44)

Step 6: Now Do The Following:

“File”

“Open Device Selector”

“Select Your Flash Drive”

“Open Drive”

“Right Click In The Open Space”

“New Folder Named: Content”

“Open It”

“Right Click Into The Open Space Again”

Requirements:
Physical Items
Your Banned Jtagged Xbox w/ XBReboot Installed (Any MotherBoard)
A Donor Un-Banned Nand w/ CPU KEY (what you buy from KV sellers)
XEXLoader/XEXMenu on your console (any .xex loader)

Specifics on KeyVaults: Which boards can use what KeyVaults
Type 1: Older Xenon Boards
Type 2: Newer Xenon Boards, Zephyr, Opus, Falcon, Jasper


Xenon: Type 1 AND Type 2
ALL OTHER Non-Xenon Boards: ONLY Type 2

***All other Non-Xenon Boards require a Type 2 Keyvault but the keyvault does NOT require the same kind of board***
- For example: Falcon Board Does NOT need a Falcon KV, just a TYPE 2 KV

Now that you have downloaded the files, it is now time to install Flash360 to your console if you dont already have it there.

Installing XeXMenu:
1. Place the Flash360.xex and Media Folder on the Root of a  USB Drive (root means not in any folders, just in the very “root” of the USB)

2. Install that USB drive into the back of your XBOX and then turn it on
3. Launch XEXLoader/XEXMenu found in your Game Demos
4. Browse the directory for the Flash360.xex file that is on your USB drive
5. Launch Flash360.xex

Getting Your XBR Image From Flash 360 onto your Computer: (if its not already there)
1. Make a copy of your Xbr image with Flash360 using the “X” button on screen

2. It will save it as (flashdmp.bin) to where ever you loaded Flash360.xex from (presumably the root of your USB drive)
3. Move the USB Drive with your newly dumped XBR image that you got from Flash360 onto your computer

***Note*** the XBR image that you copy from Flash360 is not your ORIGINAL Nand image, but it does contain your KeyVault and Config files in that XBR image so it is able to act as your ORIGINAL Nand

Extracting the Unbanned KeyVault from the Donor Nand: (skip this step if you already have a KV_Dec.binfile)
1. Open the Donor (Unbanned) Nand file in 360 Flash Tools
2. At the Top, select the “Keys Tab”
3. Enter in the Unbanned CPU Key
4. Before moving on, Make sure to Select Both the 1BL Box And the CPU Box

5. Re-Open that unbanned Nand file and all of it’s information should now be showing
6. Select “Extract” and then “Extract KeyVault”

7. Save it to your Desktop
8. Flash Tools will have saved it as KV_dec.bin (this is your decrypted, Unbanned KV file)

2. Click the “Keys Tab” and enter in the CPU key of your banned console and make sure to check the CPU box as well as the

3. Re-open that XBR image and all of your info will be there (take note of the DVD-Key and the OSIG DVD-drive type as you will need it for patching the KV)
4. Now you want to select “Import” and then select “KeyVault”

5. Browse for the KV_dec.bin file that you put on your desktop from the UnBanned Nand

6. Save that newly imported XBR image as Edit01.bin

Patching the New KV to your XBR image with your info (DVD-Key/DVD-Type):
1. Open Edit01.bin and select “Patch” and then select “KeyVault”

2. MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE the DVD-Key to your banned console’s DVD-Key and well as the Drive-type to your own.
3. Save that patched XBR file as updflash.bin
Re-Flashing Your Newly Patched XBR image to Your Console:
1. Put that file (updflash.bin) on a USB drive and put it into your xbox (make sure Flash360.xex is still on that USB drive also)

2. Turn on your Xbox and Launch XEXLoader/XEXMenu from your Game Demos
3. Browse the Directory for the Flash360.xex and Launch it
4. Select the “A” button to Re-Flash your XBR Image
5. Select the “B” button to Flash the XBR image while using a Different KV
6. Select the “Start” button to allow a mismatch to occur
7. Select the “A” button to continue on with the Flash

8. Select the “Back” button to acknowledge the Flash has completed

9. Select the “Back” button to exit the update menu

***Note*** It is very important that you do not exit to the Dashboard after flashing the new XBR image, once you select the “Back” button twice to exit, the Flash360 has an automatic restart mechanism that will reboot your XBOX saving the Update!

BAM! you have successfully inject an Unbanned KV to your nand and patched it with your info!

I really hoped this helped all of you guys out, i know i was disapointed when no one provided a “Noob friendly” unbanning tutorial so i made this as detailed and easy to follow as possible. Leave Thanks if this helped you in any way 

I see alot of threads asking “How do I know if my 360 is JTAG-able?”. Well here is the guide to find out. This will not require anything other than you reading a few numbers in your dashboard and possibly your Manufacture Date from the sticker on the back of the console.

Figuring out Motherboard Type:

The Diagram only shows the generation. This is how to figure out which one of the two it is.
Xenon – NON-HDMI
Zephyr – HDMI
Falcon – HDMI
Opus – NON-HDMI
Jasper – HDMI

Finding the Kernel Version:
In the dashboard go to System Settings then go to Console Settings then scroll down to System Info. Your kernel version is shown here. In this picture the 360 has the 8955 kernel applied. This console is not vulnerable.

Kernel Vulnerability:

8498 and Higher - Any console with a kernel 8498 and higher have been patched to stop the hack.

7371 and lower - Any console with the 7371 kernel or a lower version of the kernel are most likely vulnerable to the hack.(Explained Below)

Kernels 7357/7363/7371
These 3 Kernels are what you may call the “iffy” kernels. Some contain a patched CB which makes the console un-exploitable.

How do I know if my console has the patched CB?

1. If the console manufacture date is BEFORE 6-1-2009 then the CB in the 360 will not be patched and you can perform the JTAG hack on it.

2. If the console manufacture date is AFTER 6-1-2009 then it is going to have the patched CB and will not be able to get JTAG’d.

CB Versions
Now this check really isn’t needed. But if you get a console past 6-1-2009 and it has one of the iffy kernels then you could always dump the nand and check the CB version on it. Maybe you would be super lucky and got a exploitable box past the date. Chances are 99.99% you will get a patched box. But if you want to entertain yourself then here are the CB version’s.

Open your NAND image in either Degraded or 360 Flash Tool and check the CB version. Here is a picture of Degraded. Any CB version past the one shown in the “Non-Exploitable” Section will not be exploitable. Only the ones in the Exploitable CB versions are JTAG-able.

Exploitable CB versions:
1888, 1902, 1903, 1920,1921: exploitable xenon
4558: exploitable Zephyr
5761, 5766, 5770: exploitable falcon
6712, 6723: exploitable jasper

Non-Exploitable CB Versions (CD = 8453 for all of them)
Xenon: 1922, 1923, 1940
Zephyr: 4571, 4572, 4578, 4579
Falcon/Opus: 5771
Jasper: 6750

Requirements:
Ascension w/ RTE
RTE .xex’s
Dashlaunch
Jtag
Crossover cable or Jtag and PC connected to the same router

If your PC’s network card is good enough you dont need a crossover cable, only an ethernet cable.

Step 1:

Get your Reach on your HDD or USB using any program that can do that (XeXMenu, Freestyle Dash, …)

Now Copy the 3 .xex’s (RTELauncher.xex, RTELoader.xex, default.xex) into your Reach folder..

Step 2:

If you have Jtag and computer connected to the same router you can skip this.

If ANYTHING is wrong in this step please correct me im not good with networking.

If you are using a crossover cable then on your computer, go to your network adapter settings, find your adapter for LAN, go to settings, there find “TCP/IPv4″, hit settings, and now set your ip address to something..( e.g 192.168.0.1 ) and your Subnetmask to 255.255.255.0

Go to your Jtag and go to the network settings, give your self a static ip adress( e.g. 192.168.0.2 , this must NOT be the same as your PC), set your subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 and your standardgateway and dnsserver to your PC’s IP adress

Step 3:

Go on your Computer, open Ascension, go to “Edit”, “Settings” and under “XDK Name” you enter your Jtags IP adress (either the one you put before or find it on Freestyle Dash or something..)

Step 4:

Open Ascension on your Computer and launch Reach using the RTELauncher.xex..
You should get a notice saying “Ready to accept connections” and then “Listening”

Step 5:

After you started a game in Reach, open the map you are on in Ascensions and start poking values

How to use it:
1)Open a profile from YOUR xbox(your own profile) up in modio.
2)You will see both profile and console id’s, copy the CONSOLE id.
3)Open up the Halo reach modded profile in modio.
4)Paste the Console Id of YOUR profile over the Console Id of the MODDED profile.
5)Press Rehash and Resign and your done
